The 1Tone drum is made of Carbon steel. The properties of this material contribute to the divine sound of the drum. This strong metal will keep the drum tuned for a long lasting period.
Our shell design and note placement were inspired by the famous Swiss made hang drum.
The 1Tone drum has a central note which is pressed out by hand and tuned to one of the tones of the scale.
Part of the tongues on the upper side of the drum there is also a single tongue on the bottom side, it is in harmonic relations with it's "opposite"? note- the upper central note, they are tuned to the same key. The bottom tongue can also be played, it produces a low bassfull sound.
